Overview

This policy applies to the Shopify apps published by Storvia Apps ("Storvia", "we", "us"), based in Meknes, Morocco: SmartStockCap and OrderGuard. It explains what data each app collects when a merchant installs it, why, and what happens to that data when the app is uninstalled.

We collect only the data an app needs to work. We never sell personal data and never use it for advertising.

SmartStockCap

SmartStockCap lets merchants cap how many units of a product sell online, per product or per country, without changing inventory.

Data we collect

  • Store information: your Shopify store domain and the access token needed to run the app.
  • Store owner contact details: the store owner's name and email address and the store's contact email, as provided by Shopify.
  • Product data: IDs and titles of the products you choose to cap.
  • Order data: for orders that contain a capped product only: order ID, line item IDs, product and variant IDs, quantities, whether the order was cancelled, and the two-letter shipping country code (used for per-country caps).

SmartStockCap does not store customer names, emails, phone numbers or street addresses.

How we use it

  • Count sales of each capped product against the caps you set.
  • Block further online checkouts and, if you choose, unlist products when a cap is reached. We never change your inventory quantities.
  • Show your caps and sales progress in the app dashboard.
  • Send service emails: install confirmation, welcome email, cap-reached alerts you turn on, and replies to your support requests.

OrderGuard

OrderGuard adds order protection at checkout and helps merchants handle claims for lost, stolen or damaged packages.

Data we collect

  • Store information: your Shopify store name, domain and contact email.
  • Order data: order details needed to provide protection and process claims.
  • Customer data: names and email addresses of customers linked to protected orders.
  • Usage data: how you use the app, so we can improve it.

How we use it

  • Provide order protection and calculate protection fees from order values.
  • Process and manage claims.
  • Send notifications about claims and protection status.
  • Improve the app and our support.

OrderGuard uses essential cookies and similar technologies to keep your session and preferences while you use the app.

Sharing and processors

We do not sell, trade or rent personal data. We share data only:

  • With service providers that run the apps on our behalf. Service emails are sent through our email provider, Resend, which processes the recipient's email address only to deliver the message.
  • With your consent.
  • When required by law, or to protect our rights and prevent fraud.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and stored in secured databases. Access is limited to authorized personnel. We use technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, change, disclosure or destruction.

Retention and deletion

We keep an app's data for as long as the app is installed. When you uninstall an app, Shopify sends us a shop data erasure request (shop/redact) 48 hours later, and we then delete that store's data, including the store owner's name and email.

We also respond to Shopify's mandatory privacy requests: customer data requests (customers/data_request) and customer data erasure (customers/redact). You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing contact@storvia.io.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU or UK), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Ask us to delete your data.
  • Receive your data in a portable format.
  • Complain to your local data protection authority.

Merchants can also uninstall an app at any time. Shoppers of a store that uses our apps can contact the store, or email us directly at contact@storvia.io.

Changes

We may update this policy when our apps change. We will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
